Thanks To All Who Prayed For Executive Director Search Committee

Our prayers have been answered.  Conservatives have worked hard to bring about this change.  We now have a leader who believes in the inerrancy of Holy Scriptures, is committed to the BF&M 2000, is a soul-winner, and who has never been involved with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.  The search committee has found this kind of man, Dr. Randy Davis.

Much gratitude is due to David Green and the other search committee members.  They paid attention to the messengers.  They took the initiative to get feedback, and they acted on that feedback.  Also, much gratitude is due to the Administrative Committee of the TBC Executive Board and the entire Executive Board.  They have approved unanimously the recommendation brought to them by the search committee.  The Administrative Committee voted on June 1st, and the Executive Board voted on June 2nd.

Dr. Randy Davis is the current pastor of FBC Seveirville, TN.  He also served at FBC Morristown before moving to Seveirville.  He is a proven leader.  He is a strong theological conservative.  Randy has never been afraid of being labeled "conservative."  He has also demonstrated the ability to bring unity.  It is definitely a new day for Tennessee Baptist. The call is clear.  We've prayed for years, and God has sent us a leader who can bring Tennessee Baptist together to do great commission service for our Lord Jesus Christ. 

Let us continue to pray and support the TBC as we head in a new direction.
